Meghan took a break from making films in 2001 and has only appeared in 4 films since. She has been spending most of her time writing books releasing her first novel The Mystical Journey The Book of Elandor in March 2005. Meghan Chavalier was born in Hurley, Wisconsin. She went through high school as any other normal person would. Of course there were the usual childhood taunters but she never let it side step her from following her dreams of one day becoming famous. But, at this point she never knew what realm that would be in. Meghan graduated and left home. She wasn't sure exactly where she was headed, but she got on a greyhound bus said goodbye to her parents and never looked back. The first stop would be Texas. Meghan only lived in Texas for a short time before heading to Albuquerque, New Mexico a place she still calls "the place I discovered who I was." New Mexico. She spent two and a half years in Albuquerque where she also met her first boyfriend. At the time she thought he was the love of her life. Well, first loves are always a bit deceiving and after that ended she headed back to Wisconsin. She went to Milwaukee where she lived with her brother and worked as a pricing analyst for a major corporation. But, fate stepped in. She was befriended by a very popular entertainer in the city who was a waiter by day and a drag-diva by night. This entertainer helped Meghan get her first real gig on a stage at the age of 21. She met and befriended another young transsexual named Alex. They were the wild pair together, performing in all of the clubs in Milwaukee . One night while in Milwaukee, the two were sitting at a kitchen table of a friend when they opened up a book and decided it was time to pick a new last name for Meghan. Meghan saw the name Maurice Chevelier. But, always being differen't she decided to throw out the e's and make them a's. Meghan Chavalier was born. Meghan and Alex decided they'd had enough of Milwaukee and headed south one night in the spur of the moment. They were heading to Florida but decided to stop in New Orleans, Louisiana to see a friend of Meghan's from high school. Well, for the next five years that's where Meghan would stay. New Orleans would be the place where Meghan would finally become the woman she always wanted to be and hone her entertaining skills along the way. One night while she was out Meghan ran into someone from the nightclub Papa Joe's located on Bourbon Street which was a very popular showbar in the city. The shows Madonna had quit and they were looking for someone to come in and take over. Meghan decided that she could take on the role. The first night went well, although the crowd didn't care too much for her Olivia Newton-John, they loved her Madonna. So, in order for her to get the job she needed to come up with another character along with the Madonna character. She made quick friends with Stephanie Williams who was also in the show and who is still a very good friend of Meghan's. Stephanie told her to do Annie Lennox. Meghan got the job that would keep her on stage doing 17 shows a week for the next 3 years. After spending years in New Orleans, Meghan moved to Hollywood California. Meghan rented a studio apartment in the heart of Hollywood between Sunset and Santa Monica Blvd. It was spacious but not the biggest apartment you've ever seen. She wasn't sure exactly what she was even going to do now that she was there. Eventually, she hooked up with a photographer from Transformation Magazine and did her first real photo shoot in December of 1996. After the shoot she thought that was the end of her venture into modeling. But, she recevied another call from the photographer in March of 1997 and he asked her to do a movie for him. The movie was Transsexual Centerfolds a little seen video that was sold mainly on his website. About a month after the video had been shot she received a call from Marlayna Lacie who runs a magazine called TV Epic. At the time Marlayna also had a television show which ran on local cable stations called TVTV. Meghan made the cover of TV Epic in June of 1997. Her first ever interview and magazine cover. After this magazine came out she started to receive offers from movie companies one of them being Up in smoke located in San Francisco, California. They hadn't ventured into transsexual movies and made Meghan their "it" girl for smoking fetish fans. She did her first movies with one of her friends Persephone who is a popular dominatrix throughout the world. The movies were a hit. Meghan then went to New York City on what she calls "the craziest 13 days of my life." She was in San Francisco, then New York and then Miami and back to Los Angeles. She filmed 13 movies in two weeks, a record for her. She filmed for Bizarre Films in New York and calls the experience just that, "bizarre." Meghan took six months off after this and took a break. Meghan was at a turning point in her life and decided it was time to go full force back into the industry after her six month vacation. She had a meeting with Devils Films and eventually became the first transsexual to ever have a contract in the adult film industry. She had her own line of movies with company and was one of the first people to direct a horror/porn film for the adult film industry. The movie was called "Queen." It was a good seller for the company but Meghan wasn't happy with the way they were editing her films she thought the company was taking her movies and making them into what she calls "one big mess on film." There was one film she was very proud of that she did for Devil's which was Transsexual Prostitutes Part 7. The movie was nominated for an AVN Award in 1999. It was a large recoginition that the work she did for them was not done without having benefits. Eventually though, they would part ways. She decided to give an old friend a call at the end of 1999. Chimera Tryst who was devoloping a new line of movies aimed primarily at the transsexual market. Meghan and Chimera got together and the rest is transsexual history. Together they made almost 80 movies in the next two years. The movies were top sellers. Both were happy, Chimera got her line of movies off the ground and Meghan got her career back. Meghan decided to leave Hollywood and head back to the midwest in April of 2002. She said that after her last movie she filmed in November of 2001 she needed some time off and needed to spend some time living a simpler existence. At this point, she's spending alot of time doing yoga and studying the various spiritual aspects of her existence. She works steadily on her websites and finds this part of her life very enjoyable. She will resume filming at some point but hasn't quite decided when yet. Where this road will lead is yet unknown. But ultimately after being in the entertainment industry for almost 12 years, the twists and turns will be eventful and interesting. And interesting it has been, in March 2005 Meghan released her first book, The Mystical Journey The Book of Elandor under the pen name K J Siirila, through Publish America. The book is available all around the world online and in book stores. The book is the first in a trilogy.
